Came razor-sharp right out of the box. I'm not a big fan of Tanto blades, but I really like this design, so I figured I had to get it.
The handle provides good comfort and has a somewhat non-slip grip.
I haven’t tested it in the woods yet, but I’m pretty sure the blade is thick enough to handle tough use.
That said, people often expect one knife to do everything—from fine carving to splitting logs. Realistically, it's better to carry both an axe and a knife. This one handles most tasks well, but it’s not a multi-tool or an all-in-one survival blade.
It's strong, capable of slicing meat and vegetables, and seems fairly easy to sharpen. Overall, a very good blade—great choice for general camp use.

This is a really nice-sized katana! I just received my second one, and it's just as good as the first. In my opinion, this is the best survival knife on Earth.
